FAQs
Vermont Bunk Beds builds each bed to order. This allows us to work with you to create the perfect bed for your space. The lead time from order to delivery is typically 7-10 days depending on the number of orders waiting in the queue.
Vermont Bunkbeds recommends using standard bunkbed mattresses 8 – 10 inches thick. Trundle beds are designed for a standard 7 inch thick trundle mattress. Modifications can easily be made for thicker mattresses if needed.
It’s always a good idea to check your room dimensions and let us know if you have a potential “tight” spot for your furniture. We can easily make adjustments to match your space so communicate space concerns early.
Keep in mind that the ends of the beds are intentionally designed and spaced to be used as a ladder. However, the board edges can be uncomfortable for some. An optional ladder is a great addition at a reasonable price and enhances the beauty of the bed. The vertical ladder allows for more floor space while the angled ladder may be easier to climb.
Yes! Because we are custom builders we offer modifications such as:
Raising or lowering the height of the bed / loft
Increasing the length for an extra long mattress
Building with select hard woods grown locally
Changing the Sugarbush Collection to be a painted bed rather than stained as wood.
Changing the Mansfield Collection to be stained as wood rather than painted.
Adding additional coats of Poly-Whey for extra protection.
Leaving beds unfinished to lower cost and provide you the opportunity to “get your hands dirty”
Adding shelving or a desk to a loft, etc. (Feel free to contact us with your special situation and we’ll work hard to meet your needs.)
